Season 2: Post 7.
I’m not going to lie, today is the closest I’ve come to not getting a post out. However, whilst tucking into my pulled bourbon chicken sandwich, I’ve managed to download the WordPress app and I’m currently bashing this post out – live from Norfolk, Virginia.
It’s been, what seems, a very long 24 hours since the last post. I think going into a different time zone in combination with the change from normal routine means that a day lasts a lot longer than usual.

Yesterday, we played the first show of tour. It was interesting to say the least. Mainly due to the fact that I fell asleep just prior to Riskee playing, on a sofa, about 4 metres from where they were playing. If you aren’t aware, Riskee play loud, somewhat aggressive grime/punk music – hardly a lullaby. Jet lag had unfortunately took me in and I was unable to resist.
I don’t really want to go into too much detail on how I feel we played. Just imagine what 5 jet lagged guys, 3 of which had asleep just minutes before playing, sound like – that’s how we played.
For dinner last night I had what was probably one of the best burritos I’ve ever had. Fresh plump shrimp isn’t something I typically have as my burrito protein source but they were delicious.

This morning started early, having managed a relative 6 hours kip, we headed out for Virginia. It took us just over 4 hours of terrible inter-van humour and some epic views to drive here. I must say, I’m completely relieved to be out of the ghetto of South Philadelphia and in the hippie hipster vibe of Norfolk, VA.
Squeezed in my 8 mile run just before we headed out tonight, choosing to churn it out on the treadmill. Still a good sweat fest, despite being in the same spot.

I’ll leave things at that point and continue further tomorrow as it’s getting late.
Hope everyone is well.
Peace.
